Update: Intercropping for Sustainability Conference
The Intercropping for Sustainability conference will be happening online between the 18th and 20th of January 2021.
The conference, organised by the DIVERSify and ReMIX H2020 projects as well as the Association of Applied Biologists (UK), will focus on sharing all the latest research on developing and improving intercropping practices to diversify crop systems. Sessions are organised around the following themes:
- Nutrient and Pest Management
- Intercropping for Yield benefits
- Environmental Benefits and Ecosystem Services
- Innovation and Tools
- New approaches to investigate intercropping mechanism
- Species, varieties and sowing arrangements
We have an excellent selection of invited speakers as well, including Dr Antione Messéan (INRAE, France), Prof. John Vandermeer (University of Michigan, USA), Prof. Bernhard Schmid (University of Zürich, Switzerland) and Prof. Maria Finkh (University of Kassel, Germany). On the evening of Tuesday (19th) there will be a practice-focussed discussion panel led by Caroline Drummond (LEAF, UK) with industry representatives from farming, breeding, research and agronomy. Farmers can attend the conference for £25.00 (Prices incl. VAT).
General admission tickets are £85.00 (£50.00 for students) for the full conference, or £40.00 per day (£20.00 for students) (Prices incl. VAT). You will receive full instructions as well as a link to access all the online sessions direct to your email on registration. Recordings will be available for one month after the event.
